On November 12, the Maker Movement Promotion Forum 2015 was held in Danang City. The first ever forum, themed “Developing the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem for Vietnam,” was co-organized by the U.S. Consulate General in HCMC, Arizona State University, National Instruments, FabLab Saigon, and FabLab Danang. At the forum, many young innovators expressed their interest in an environment focused on research and invention, where people like-minded individuals turn their ideas into reality. Participating in the forum, Ms. Rena Bitter, U.S. Consul General in HCMC, said that the forum is one of many efforts to promote the maker movement in Vietnam and serves as a show of support for a “strong, prosperous Vietnam.”
